Summary
A Spec Sheet (product specification block on a research catalog page) describes catalog identity for a listed product — the kind of fields a laboratory purchaser uses to understand what the SKU is named as in the store. A COA library entry is a lot-level certificate for a specific vial lot on file. Use the Spec Sheet for catalog identity literacy; use the COA library for lot matching and printed analytical fields. Do not treat a Spec Sheet as a substitute for a matching lot COA, and do not invent purity, lot, CAS, or lab names onto a Spec Sheet when VERIFY does not supply them.

What typically belongs on a Spec Sheet (literacy)
When a Spec Sheet is published for a READY research SKU, it may include catalog identity strings such as product display name, listed strength, and other identity-only fields that Compliance has APPROVED for that page. Rules:
- Copy only fields that are on the published Spec Sheet or APPROVED copy packet.
- Do not invent CAS, sequence, molecular weight, purity %, lot IDs, or lab names onto the Spec Sheet from memory, another SKU, or an unmatched COA.
- If a VERIFY row is PARTIAL / MISSING for a field, leave that Spec Sheet cell empty or omit the claim (document-or-delete) — same discipline as blank COA fields (When a COA Field Is Blank: Document-or-Delete for Research Inventory).
- HOLD SKUs stay out of Academy CTAs and Spec Sheet optimization (Selank / N-Acetyl Semax / other HOLD inventory — unchanged).
What belongs in the COA library
The COA library holds lot documents. For each vial on the bench:
- Match lot on the vial to the library row (Academy 09).
- Confirm product name and strength on the report match the vial.
- Copy printed fields only — lab (for named-lab / “third-party tested” literacy, see Academy 11), method, purity, identity — or leave blanks (Academy 12).
A Spec Sheet that lists a catalog strength does not document that your specific vial lot was tested at that strength. Strength and lot matching still require the COA (see Academy 14 when filed).

How to use both pages in one inventory pass
- Open the READY PDP / Spec Sheet for catalog identity (name, listed strength as published).
- Open the COA library and match the vial lot.
- Confirm product name + strength on the COA against the vial (and against the catalog listing).
- Document printed COA fields; omit blanks.
- Do not backfill Spec Sheet gaps from an unmatched COA, or COA gaps from Spec Sheet marketing language.
